Info & Guides

Description

A standard-height firebox can look lost on a wall under high ceilings or in an open foyer. The Remii Extra Tall Indoor/Outdoor Built-In Electric Fireplace fixes that with a flame view at least 6 inches taller than other Remii models, so you can see the fire clearly from across the room. It comes in 55-inch and 65-inch widths to suit your wall.

Installation is flexible. You can mount the fireplace with its steel surround, or leave off the surround and the black glass side panels and carry your drywall or stone finish right up to the glass for a frameless look. It works indoors or in a covered outdoor space, so the same design can anchor a great room or a sheltered patio.

Key Features and Benefits of the Remii Extra Tall Indoor/Outdoor Built-In Electric Fireplace

  • Tall Viewing Window: An 18-inch-tall glass window shows off the flames, giving you a fireplace sized to match high ceilings and large walls.
  • 4,800-BTU Heater: The heater puts out 4,800 BTUs to warm rooms up to 500 square feet, so you can take the chill off a large living area.
  • Heat Settings: Choose 1,500 watts on high or 750 watts on low, or let Auto mode read the room temperature and pick a setting for you.
  • Blower and Flame-Only: You can run the 2-setting blower by itself for air movement all year, or turn off heat and fan and enjoy just the flames.
  • Flame Colors: With 3 LED light strips and the included remote, you can switch the flames between blue, rose, violet, yellow, and orange.
  • Adjustable Flame Speed: You can adjust the flame speed between low and high, with a medium setting in between.
  • Mirrored Media Tray: A mirrored tray reflects light through canyon brown and ocean blue fireglass, giving the flame bed a 3-D sense of depth.
  • Plug-In or Hardwired: A 70-inch power cord on the left side plugs into a 110-120-volt outlet, or a professional can hardwire the fireplace for a cleaner install.
  • CSA Certified Safety: The fireplace is CSA certified, and an automatic overheat cutoff shuts it down if the vents get blocked, until you clear the problem.

Choose Your Width

Remii offers this fireplace in 2 widths, 55 Inch and 65 Inch, so you can match the size of the fire to your wall and room.

  • 55 Inch: This width measures 53.625 x 12.625 x 29.5-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 110 pounds, giving living rooms and entertaining spaces a strong focal point that doesn't take over the wall.
  • 65 Inch: This width measures 63.625 x 12.625 x 29.5-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 127.6 pounds, and its wider flame display fills large living areas and commercial foyers.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're finishing a high-ceilinged room or a covered patio, this Remii fireplace solves the scale problem that shorter fireboxes create. Pick the 55 Inch for a typical living room and the 65 Inch for a wide wall or a commercial space. Both put out the same heat, so the choice comes down to looks. The removable surround matters most, since it lets you run stone right up to the glass, with Auto mode handling the heat.
