Remove excessive humidity and avoid the musty, stagnant air associated with many basements and crawlspaces with the Tjernlund V2D. This ventilator is designed to circulate fresh outdoor air underneath homes and porches to prevent odors, radon, and treated wood off-gassing from migrating into your living area.
Protect Your Home & Your Family
Air quality starts from the ground up, so ventilating your crawlspace and basement is important to your overall air quality. When you install this ventilator, two fans and a large faceplate attach to a vent to push musty air out of your space. It can be installed in pre-existing vents in your crawlspace and includes a thermostat and dehumidistat. Damaging moist air will be pushed out of your crawlspace.
How it Works
Use the on-board adjustable dehumidistat to set your ideal humidity level in your crawl space. In addition to turning the unit on or off, you can select your humidity between 20% and 80%. Once the humidity falls below your set level, the fan automatically turns off and then will turn back on once the humidity level rises above that set mark.
Installation
The ventilator is easy to install inside the crawlspace behind existing ventilation openings. The pre-wired 6' power cord powers the unit from a standard outlet. The ventilator dimensions are 18 x 9 x 2 inches, and the Mounting Plate smallest trimmable dimension are 14 x 6 inches.
How Many Does Your Crawlspace Need?
To determine the ventilation rate needed for your space, calculate the cubic feet of the area (L x W x H), and divide that number by 15 to determine the CFM necessary to fully ventilate the space in 15 minutes. The Tjernlund V2D Ventilator has a 220 CFM capacity.
Additional Features
- Fan Performance: The powerful fans offer 220 CFM of air movement, Tjernlund's most powerful crawlspace fan.
- Freeze Protection Thermostat: The factory-installed pre-wired thermostat will prevent fan operation below an outdoor temperature of 35°F, and will allow the unit to turn on at 50°F.
- Dehumidistat: The adjustable humidistat actuates the fan if the relative humidity rises above the selected set point. It is adjustable from 20% - 80% RH Range.
- Removable Screen: A screen attaches to the faceplate.
