Remove moisture and avoid the musty, stagnant air associated with many basements and crawlspaces with the Tjernlund V2D. Adding this fan-powered crawlspace ventilator will increase ventilation and vent out various unwanted items like radon, off-gassing and odors to keep them out of your main living space.

Air quality starts from the ground up, so ventilating your crawlspace and basement is important to your overall air quality. When you install this ventilator, two fans and a large faceplate attach to a vent to push musty air out of your space. It can be installed in pre-existing vents in your crawlspace and includes a thermostat and dehumidistat so you can check your air quality at anytime. Damaging moist air will be pushed out of your crawlspace through a rugged outdoor hood.
At an affordable price point, you can avoid dangerous indoor air issues from damaging your home’s interior and negatively influencing your health.
How it Works
Use the on-board dehumidistat to set your ideal humidity level in your crawl space. In addition to turning the unit on or off, you can select your humidity between 20% and 80%. Once the humidity falls below your set level, the fan automatically turns off and then will turn back on once the humidity level rises above that set mark.
Installation
You can install this American-made product anywhere within 6 feet of a standard outlet. It’s designed to be placed directly behind standard vent openings. The power cord is included with purchase, and the dimensions are 18 x 9 x 2 inches (L x H x W).
How Many Does Your Crawlspace Need?
If you have a large crawl space, you may need more than one Tjernlund UnderAire V2D Crawl Space Ventilator. To determine this, Tjernlund suggests you find out how much CFM you need. Each model provides up to 220 CFM.
To determine what CFM your space requires, follow this formula: Multiply the square footage by the height (to get the cubic feet) and then divide that number by 15. This gives the amount of CFM you need to properly ventilate your space.

- Freeze Protection Thermostat: Freeze protection turns on to protect this model from freezing when the temperature hits 40 degrees. The thermostat won't allow this model to work under 40 degrees F and will cut on operation at 50 degrees F.
- Dehumidistat: You can turn the humidistat on or off and also set it from 20 - 80% relative humidity.
- Removable Screen: A screen attaches to the outdoor hood to avoid bugs and other irritants from entering your crawlspace.
