Description

Adjusting a thermostat or humidistat by hand every time the lights switch over gets old fast. These controllers handle that job for you, reading conditions through a dedicated sensor and running your appliance against set points you choose. Because each controller manages 1 kind of equipment, you can build a system around the appliances you already own and add more control later.

  • Dedicated Sensing: Each controller pairs a sensor suited to its job, from temperature probes to a CO2 sensor, with a digital display so you can read conditions at a glance.
  • Day/Night Set Points: Separate day and night settings let your climate change automatically when the lights switch over, with no manual adjustment (Models BETA-1, BETA-4, and BETA-6 only).
  • Built-In Photocell: A built-in photocell senses light levels and switches between day and night settings on its own, so control follows your lighting cycle (Models BETA-4 and BETA-6 only).
  • Plug-In Outlet: An onboard power outlet lets you plug your appliance straight in, which then turns it on and off to hold your set point (Models BETA-4 and BETA-6 only).
  • Household Power: Runs on 110-120 volts, so you can plug the controller into a standard household outlet with no special wiring.
  • Low Power Draw: With a maximum rating of 0.2 amps, the controller itself adds very little load to your circuit.

Choose Your Controller Type

The Beta Series comes in 5 controller types: Mini Split, Fan Speed, Temperature, Humidity, and CO2 PPM, each matched to a different appliance.

  • Mini Split Controller (BETA-1): The BETA-1 learns the signals from your mini-split air conditioner's remote and uses its included IR signal emitter to switch automatically between 2 separate day and night temperatures on most mini-split brands.
  • Fan Speed Controller (BETA-2): The BETA-2 ships with a temperature sensor and raises or lowers the speed of your variable-speed fan as the temperature changes, which gives you an economical way to cool your space.
  • Temperature Controller (BETA-4): The BETA-4 runs any heating or cooling appliance rated at 10 amps or less, such as a space heater or room air conditioner, and comes with its own temperature sensor.
  • Humidity Controller (BETA-6): The BETA-6 uses a precision humidity sensor on a remote probe to run a dehumidifier or a humidifier plugged into the outlet on its base, holding separate day and night humidity targets.
  • CO2 PPM Controller (BETA-8): The BETA-8 tracks CO2 levels with a precision NDIR (nondispersive infrared) sensor and turns on your supplemental CO2 system during daylight hours. An adjustable deadband sets how far readings can drift before the system responds, and min-max recall lets you review the lowest and highest readings. Its fuzzy-logic feature gives more accurate control of compressed CO2 systems, and you can recalibrate the sensor to keep readings accurate for many years.

If you're running climate equipment on manual thermostats and timers, the Beta Series lets you automate 1 appliance at a time and add controllers as your setup grows. Start with whatever drifts most. The BETA-6 suits rooms with humidity swings, while the BETA-8 makes the most sense if you already use compressed CO2.

Whichever you pick, put the sensor where the air actually matters, not where it's convenient. Get that placement right and your set points will hold.
