Description

A long or restrictive 4-inch duct run can leave a room stuffy even when there is a fan at one end. The Ruck Air Movement 4-In. Classic Series Inline Centrifugal Duct Fan mounts in the duct itself and pushes air along the run from inside the line.

The Classic Series is rated for air temperatures from -13 to 176 degrees F. That lets you mount it in an unheated attic, a crawl space, or a warm utility area. Every fan in the series is made in Germany and carries UL and CSA certifications for electrical safety.

Classic vs Classic HO: Choose Your Airflow

You can choose between the Classic and Classic HO models depending on how much airflow your duct run needs and how much sound you can accept.

Classic: The Classic moves up to 123 CFM (cubic feet of air per minute) and draws 0.7 amps, a light load for a standard outlet. It is rated IPX4 for splash resistance. Its 12-sone sound rating makes it the quieter of the 2 models (sones measure how loud a fan sounds to you), and it weighs 6.68 pounds, light enough for one person to lift and mount.
Classic HO: The Classic HO steps up from the Classic to 165 CFM for longer or more restrictive ducting, and it draws 0.8 amps, only slightly more than the Classic. It has a 17-sone sound rating and weighs 6.79 pounds, barely more than the Classic.

If you're dealing with weak airflow at the end of a 4-inch duct run, the Ruck Classic Series lets you fix it inline instead of replacing the fan at the grille. Sound is the trade-off to weigh, because the Classic HO's extra airflow comes with the louder rating.

Choose the Classic for modest runs and the Classic HO when the duct is long or has several bends. Variable speed is the feature to lean on, since it lets you dial airflow back when full output is not needed.
