Info & Guides

Description

Cold bathrooms and drafty basements rarely have floor space to spare. The Stiebel Eltron CK Wall Mounted Electric Fan Heater line mounts flat on the wall and works for both retrofit and new construction projects. You can plug it into a standard outlet with the included cord or hardwire it for a permanent installation. The CK line comes in Plus and Premium configurations.

Made in Germany, the CK heater has a thick aluminum face that stays cool to the touch. That makes it easier to live with in homes with children and pets, especially in a tight bathroom where someone might brush against the wall.

Key Features and Benefits of the Stiebel Eltron Wall Mounted Electric Fan Heater 120V

  • 1,500-Watt Heating: Produces 1,500 watts, or 5,118 BTU, of fan-forced heat, so a cold room warms up quickly.
  • 48-Decibel Operation: Runs at just 48 decibels on its highest setting, so it won't drown out a conversation or a phone call.
  • Built-In Thermostat: Lets you set the room temperature anywhere from 41 to 86 degrees F, so you can hold the exact comfort level you want.
  • Downdraft Design: Sends heated air downward for even warmth across your room instead of letting it collect near the ceiling.
  • Frost Protection: A dedicated frost-protection setting keeps temperatures above freezing, which helps in basements or rooms you rarely use.
  • Plug or Hardwire: Includes a 3.3-foot power cord for plug-in use and also supports hardwiring, so you can match the installation to your room.
  • Overheat Protection: Automatic overheat protection and ETL certification give you added confidence when the heater runs in a bathroom.
  • 12.5-Amp Draw: Draws a maximum of 12.5 amps on 110-120 volt power, so you can confirm your circuit has room before you install it.
  • 11.7-Pound Build: At 11.7 pounds, the heater keeps wall mounting manageable during a retrofit or new build.

Plus vs Premium: Choosing Your Control Setup

The CK line splits by control style, letting you pick between simple manual operation on the Plus and full programmability on the Premium.

  • CK 150-1 Plus: This version uses manual controls with a traditional knob on the side and 1 heat setting, so you can adjust it quickly without menus or programming.
  • CK 150-1 Premium: This version has everything the Plus offers and adds electronic controls with a full LCD display plus 2 heat output settings. Its programmable timer starts and stops the heater on your schedule, and adaptive start makes sure your set temperature is reached by the programmed start time. Comfort mode holds 70 degrees F, while night mode drops to 64 degrees F for sleep or time away. You also get open window detection, a 120-minute booster function, and a child safety lock that protects your settings.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're heating a bathroom or home office up to 150 square feet and want the heater off the floor, the CK line is a good fit. Go with the Plus if you just want to set a temperature and leave it alone, since the knob takes a second and there's nothing to program. The Premium makes more sense in rooms you use on a schedule, because adaptive start has the space warm before you walk in. Both models give you the same 1,500-watt heat, so your choice comes down to how much control you want.
