Handheld Option
You can detach the power head for a handheld mode to use the 6-foot-long hose and attachments for cleaning stairs, car interiors, or above-floor surfaces like curtains and furniture. The handle on the side, which serves as hose storage when not in use, is large and evenly distributes the weight.
However, the vacuum's actual usability in this mode is not very accessible. The cord and power button are on the main handle, so you must either let go of the hose to make adjustments or try to balance the body on a surface and release the side handle to make changes that way. Holding, operating, or taking a break while cleaning is awkward.
Holding the vacuum by the main handle is technically an option because you can quickly access the power button in that position, and the cord stays behind you. Even with the handle set at the lowest height, you have to hold the vacuum body higher than is typically comfortable. You may find yourself dragging or resting the weight on the clip-in part at the bottom, which may damage it over time.
Manual Cord Wind-Up
While the length of this cord is a great feature, you do have to manually wrap it back up on the cord holder, which takes some extra time.
Premium Parquet Brush
Specifically designed for use on hard surfaces, the parquet brush is easy enough to put onto the main vacuum body. However, because of this attachment's design, the vacuum does not stay upright on its own; instead, you must switch back to the ET-1 power head to keep it upright.
That said, the ET-1 power head does a pretty decent job of picking up on bare floors with the brush roller turned off, which makes us wonder if this parquet brush attachment is perhaps unnecessary.
