I installed this heater in my 16' X 20' insulated shop. I turn it on about 15-20 minutes (winter day is typically about 40-45 degrees outside) before I start working in the shop and it warms up the room with no problem. I mainly purchased this 4000 watt unit because my shop already had a 20 AMP/ NEMA #6 20P (240 volt) electrical outlet installed. I like that the on/off button and temperature control are on the front of the heater (some heaters I looked at had controls on the back side). I installed it to a wall using the provided bracket. Heat is NOT super hot, but a steady warm heat with a substantial blower.

I bought this ""King Electric PGH2440TB 240V Portable Garage Heater"" for my 3 Car Garage which is Sheet Rocked but not Insulated. It works for that purpose, it just requires a bit of time (30 mins to an Hour) to pull the Garage out of Freezing up into the 60's Fahrenheit. We just got our Home Furnace and A/C system replacement last July, despite the Newness of our Furnace, it has been on the Quits. I utilized this King Electric Garage Heater in the main Hallway of my Home for Emergency Heating. It has done a wonderful Job, I set the rotary Thermostat at slightly less than Halfway and it has kept my 2300 Sq Foot 2 Story Home (with bedroom doors open) at 63*F all night long with Local Temps dipping to 15 degrees Fahrenheit last night. I didn't anticipate using it this way, but it has been a Life Saver for my Household.
