I bought this to use in my detached garage/shop. My shop is 775 sq ft of interior space with a high ceiling, and is larger than this unit was designed to heat. My shop is pretty well insulated, and a 1500 watt milk house heater keeps it above freezing in the coldest weather, usually it stays around 45-50 degrees when it is freezing outside. I have a 240V hydraulic lift in the shop and a 240V 6-20P outlet on the wall next to the lift. I did not want a large ceiling mount heater that would have to be hard wired in, so this looked to be a viable alternative. The attached cord is 6 ft long, so I chose a spot to mount the heater within that constraint,where the airflow would not be impeded. The fan is a single speed, but is efficient at moving a large amount of air given it's compact size; it's basically plug and play. I can turn the unit on, and in 30 to 60 minutes, it's very comfortable shirt sleeve weather inside. I am very pleased with this purchase; it does the job at a very reasonable price. I wish I had discovered it sooner.
