Powerful and reliable, the Friedrich 14,500 BTU Zone Premier PTAC with Heat Pump provides year-round temperature control with an airflow of 341 CFM for large hotel suites up to 800 square feet. With one of the most powerful motors of any PTAC model and an efficient heat pump with 13,300 BTUs of heating power, it features a 10.4 Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) while drawing warm air during winter months.
- Digital Controls: Adjust the temperature, mode (cooling, heating, or fan-only), and fan speed (low, medium, or high) with easy-to-use digital controls.
- Removes Excess Moisture: It removes 3.17 pints of excess moisture every hour.
- Standard Sizing: This PTAC measures an industry-standard 42-inch width, making it simple to replace old PTACs.
Powerful Heating Design
This Friedrich PTAC‘s efficient heat pump uses less energy than traditional heaters by transferring warm air rather than creating it. It includes a backup 5 kW electric heater when the heat pump can’t operate below 40 degrees F. It is one of the most powerful and versatile PTAC models.
- Instant Heat: Quickly heat spaces with this high-power heat pump mode.
- Temperature Monitoring: Features a built-in thermostat that monitors the temperature every nine minutes to maintain temperatures.
- Electronic Temperature Limiting: Set a low and high-temperature range to reduce energy usage.
- Electronic Defrost Control: The backup heater acts as a defrost control to keep the heat pump working effectively and efficiently for longer.
- Freeze Protection: If an unoccupied room temperature reaches 40 degrees Fahrenheit or less, the heater will automatically start to prevent the heat pump from freezing.
- Friedrich PTAC Universal Heater Cord: To increase the energy efficiency of the electric heater in warmer environments, upgrade to a 3.6 kW backup electric heater with the Friedrich 3kW Heater Cord.
