Description

In a hotel or office building, one room wants cooling while the room next door wants heat. The Friedrich ZoneAire Premier Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner Heat Pump 265V gives each room its own through-the-wall system, so you only heat and cool the spaces that are in use. Its range of capacities lets you size every room on its own.

The built-in heat pump runs more efficiently than straight electric heat, which helps keep your winter operating costs down. An electric coil heater is built in as well. The system is rated to operate from 0 to 115 degrees F, so the same PTAC covers both peak summer heat and cold-weather heating.

  • Model PDH07R3SG (7,200 BTU): For rooms up to 300 square feet, it delivers 6,000 BTU of heating, and its 13.0 EER is the highest in the line, so you get the most cooling for each watt. It draws 2.4 amps and 485 watts when cooling, the lowest load in the line. At 112 pounds, it is the lightest model.
  • Model PDH09R3SG (9,000 BTU): This model covers rooms up to 400 square feet with 9,400 BTU of cooling and 8,300 BTU of heating at a 12.1 EER. It draws 3.3 amps and 695 watts when cooling, so confirm your outlet can carry that load. At 119 pounds, it is heavier to lift into the wall opening.
  • Model PDH12R3SG (12,000 BTU): For rooms up to 550 square feet, it provides 11,800 BTU of cooling and 10,600 BTU of heating at an 11.6 EER. Its 0.75 sensible heat ratio means more of its capacity goes to pulling moisture out of the air. It draws 4.2 amps and 910 watts when cooling, a figure to check against your electrical supply.
