Description
The Keystone KSTHW12B Window Air Conditioner is designed for rooms up to 550 sq. ft. and features both cooling and heating for year-round use and convenience.
Additional operating modes and optional through-the-wall installation make this a truly versatile unit.
Note: Requires 230V outlet and has a NEMA 6-20P plug face.
Multi-Function Operation
This 12,000 BTU air conditioner also boasts 11,000 BTUs of supplemental heating capacity for keeping you comfortable all year long. You can also enjoy other operating modes to control your environment and save money & energy.
- Sleep Mode: Contributing to energy efficiency, as well as comfortable sleeping, this mode gradually increases the temperature twice, then remains at a constant level for the next 6 hours before returning to the original set temperature.
- Auto Mode: Use this mode for “set it and forget it” operation. The unit will automatically select cooling, heating, or fan-only operation for maximum comfort.
- Dry Mode: When those sultry summer days are upon us, this mode helps reduce humidity while still performing some degree of cooling. This unit will remove up to 2.5 pints per hour!
- Energy Saver: This allows the unit to shut off the compressor while continuing to run the fan for 2 minutes at 10-minute intervals, bringing the temperature of the room down, while saving energy.
- Fan Only: Open the fresh air vent and use this mode to circulate stale air out and fresh air in on milder days.
Installation Options
You can install the Keystone KSTHW12A window AC w/ heat in any double-hung window with a minimum width of 26.875 inches and a maximum width of 36 inches. Alternatively, it can be installed through the wall in situations where a window is not available or large enough to accommodate the unit.
Featuring a slide-out chassis, this air conditioner unit is super-easy to install and comes with a complete installation kit plus instructions in the owner’s manual.
Additional Features
- Remote Control: The full-function remote control includes a “follow-me” function that records the temperature at the remote location and adjusts operation accordingly.
- Multiple Fan Speeds: Choose from high, medium, or low speeds when using the cooling function. Heating operates at a single set fan speed.
- 24-Hour Timer: Use this to start or stop the unit after a pre-set number of hours. You’ll come home to a comfortable space and save money by not using the unit when it isn’t needed.
- Air Flow Control: Use the 4-way directional air flow control to direct air where it’s most needed.
- Washable Air Filter: Designed to help trap larger particles and dust, your air will be cleaner as well as cooler. A “check filter” indicator will flash on the control panel when it’s time to clean it.
- Auto Restart: This feature saves your settings and automatically restarts the AC after a power outage.
