Internal Condensate Pump

This high-performance unit automatically drains condensate thanks to the internal pump. The Quest Hi-E Dry also includes a 30-foot hose and can move condensate up to 17 feet vertically.

Easy-to-Use Digital Display

The digital control panel shows the current room's humidity level and can adjust it between 20 and 80 percent.

    Extremely Loud!

When I first got this, I was disappointed at how loud it is. It seriously sounds like a jet engine on a taxiway. I’m using it for an indoor pool room, and I was questioning whether I need to return it. It was also cycling on and off excessively, even with humidity so low that it should not turn on at all. Since then, the story got better. The excessive cycling went away after the first day, that might have been the machine initializing itself. And, just today I noticed that there’s now a “muffler kit” for $84 to quiet it down. It’s annoying to pay extra for that, but I bought one today and will give it a try.

    Nice but NOISY!

I just started using this today for my indoor pool room. It's louder than I ever imagined it would be, sounding like a jet engine on a taxiway. I know it's an "industrial" unit, but for those of us using it in the house, there really should be more attention paid to keeping the decibel level down. Also, it cycles on and off A LOT, it seems like 2-3 times an hour, running only for short invervals. It shouldn't be so hair-trigger, it could easily be engineered to run within a wider temperature range margin and extend the intervals.

Hi-E Dry 195 - new model compared to old model

I replaced my Hi-E Dry 195 (the old model) with this new one recently. It works well but I like my older style Hi-E Dry better in some ways:

    1) The old (larger) model was not as noisy. The new one sounds like an airplane engine.

    2) The new model is computer controlled- and the software seems to have a feature where it turns it on for 1 minute every 15 minutes, even if the humidistat does not need it. I don't know why they did this but I wish you could turn this off. I don't know if they are doing this to circulate the air- but I wish it could be disabled.

It does however dehumidify well. I have an outdoor "pole barn" garage which is 66x36x12. I have it set to RH 46%, and my sensors inside the building show typically between 39 and 41% RH.

very reliable and does what it should.

I've been using this in my 3240 sf shop for 6 years. I'm in the south and the humidity level is very high in the summer. I don't have any air conditioning in the space so I thought I would try this instead. I have it set for 52 percent and it gets it there and keeps it there. It has made the space very comfortable in the summer. I am buying a second one for another space. Great unit.
