The AIRCARE H12600 Evaporative Console Humidifier offers a 12-gallons per day of moisture output and covers entire homes up to 3,700 square feet. This whole-house console humidifier features a 4-speed fan motor, easy-to-fill 5 gallon water tank, and an automatic shutoff function.

I bought this online to replace an old Sears/Kenmore unit about the same size that had a different kind of functionality despite working and operating on the same principles. This unit is better in every way, with a more robust, larger, single fan in place of two that kept burning out even when used only on low speed, and a single large filter unit instead of four filters, plus a single tank in place of two, that is more practical to use and to fill. Fewer parts, lower maintenance, better performance, and a more refined design. I use the unit in a single room office with a seven foot grand piano that needs constant humidity. It more than does the job, but in the limited space would benefit from a lower, lowest speed and still quieter operation, though it is not notably noisy at all, just nticeable. I had trouble learning what mattered to setting it up the first few days, because the instructions lacked detail and some of the phone service people followed a list without knowing the unit. Once, I learned its ropes, it all makes excellent sense and is reliable as I could possibly wish.

I have used this for a little over a month and have seen a improvement on the humidity. It's winter and every thing is not all dryed out and not getting sick like previous years.
