Amana 26-in Through-the-Wall AC Sleeve

The quality and design are better than most of what's out there. I can say that bc I discovered a few features inside the unit that surpass and enhance its capabilities and give it better capability for your energy bill. As it condensates, some of water stays inside the pan and rises just enough to cover the copper tubing that allows air to remain cooler running through the colder water on the bottom. At that point, the overflow drips out. Took me to make a call to amana to ask why I wasn't dripping water out the condenser pan. If that technology exists, I sure wasn't aware of it. Anyway, real cool feature so to speak. Remote control feature is sweet too. The great room is large 20x24 with big windows so solar gain is hard to keep up with but the 12k unit does the job! You won't be disappointed. I'm not an hvac guy, so my interpretation may be off a bit, but for me, finding the right unit was real important. Their website is a big help with determining what you'll need. The old Frigidaire amply did its job for twenty years, but was almost rusted out. This American made product looks good on that wall.
