The E070 Replacement Inlet Duct Collar is the inlet duct panel used with the AprilAire E070 70 Pint Crawlspace Dehumidifier. It mounts on the intake side and gives your 8-inch ductwork a fixed connection point, so the dehumidifier draws air from the area you actually want dried rather than the space immediately around it. In a sealed crawl space or an unfinished basement, that means you can keep the dehumidifier somewhere easy to reach for maintenance while the intake pulls from the damp end of the room.
