This easy-to-replace combination filter for the Austin Air HealthMate (HM400) air purifier includes a HEPA filter, a prefilter, and a carbon/zeolite mixture. These specialized filters offer unparalleled performance.
- The prefilter is outside the HEPA filter to protect the unit and extend the life of the main filter.
- The HEPA filter is constructed of 60 sq. ft. of true HEPA medical-grade material.
- Contains approximately 15 lbs. of solid activated carbon and zeolite, which absorbs numerous gases and odors.
Plus Models – These filters contain potassium iodide for absorbing formaldehyde, ammonia, and other VOCs.

I purchased the Austin Air Healthmate unit 5+ years ago. The filter needs to be replaced every 5 years. I use the unit every night while I sleep. It has helped with my congestion, allergies & breathing. Even my cat seems to appreciate it since she has allergies too. I am not allergic to cats, but if I were I'd be running the unit all day too! I love it and have recommended it to my cousin who seems to be having the similar sinus issues. I am so glad I researched air purifiers and bought the Austin Air Healthmate.
