A hot, stale garage, restaurant back room, warehouse or barn needs that air pushed outdoors, not just stirred around. The Hessaire 18 Inch Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fan mounts in a wall opening and exhausts heat and moisture directly outside, along with odors. It arrives fully assembled with a pre-wired 9 ft. cord, so you can plug it in as soon as it's mounted.

Key Features and Benefits of the Hessaire 18 Inch Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fan

  • Sealed TEAO Motor: A totally enclosed air over (TEAO) motor keeps out dust and moisture, so it holds up in dusty garage and kitchen air.
  • UL 705 Certified: The fan carries UL 705 certification, so you know it is rated for safe operation in your garage or business.
  • Thermal Protection: Built-in thermal cutoff protection cuts power if the motor locks up, which protects the fan from overheating.
  • Galvanized Steel Housing: Durable steel and aluminum construction with a galvanized steel housing resists corrosion, so the fan stands up to humid, demanding conditions.
  • Sealed Ball Bearings: Permanently sealed ball bearings never need lubrication, so you never have to oil the motor.
  • Plug-In Power: A pre-wired 9-foot grounded cord runs on standard 110 to 120-volt power with manual controls, so you can skip hardwiring.
  • Installation Footprint: The 18 inch fans require an 18.5 x 18.5-inch wall cutout.
  • Fully Assembled: Ships ready to mount, so your installation time goes into framing the opening, not putting parts together.
  • OSHA-Compliant Guard: OSHA-compliant wire guard spacing supports efficient airflow and helps the fan last longer.

Multiple Speed Options

You can choose from two Horsepower options depending on how much air your space needs to move.

  • 1/10 HP Variable Speed Fan: This option moves up to 1,785 CFM and suits spaces up to 400 square feet, with a 7.4-sone rating, and overall dimensions of 12"D x 21"W x 21"H.
  • 1/4 HP Variable Speed Fan: The more powerful 1/4 HP variable-speed model raises airflow to 3,130 CFM for spaces up to 800 square feet at a maximum 7.3 sones with overall dimensions of 15"D x 21"W x 21"H.

Note: For variable speed operation, a variable-speed controller is required, and must be installed by an electrician.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you have a residential or commercial space that traps heat and fumes, this Hessaire fan is a solid fit for the wall. Pick by square footage. The 1/10 HP model handles up to 400 square feet , while the 1/4 HP model covers up to 800 square feet.

The sealed TEAO motor matters most in greasy or dusty air. Whichever speed you choose, the fan arrives assembled and starts working the day you plug it in.
