How The SHR 450 Works
The Fantech SHR 450 Light Commercial Heat Recovery Ventilator is the ideal solution for businesses looking to optimize indoor air quality while reducing their energy consumption. This model allows users to continuously bring fresh air into the building while simultaneously removing contaminated air, without relying on a traditional HVAC system. The heat exchanger core efficiently distributes sensible energy between air streams, resulting in tempered supply air.
Defrost Cycle
The Fantech SHR 450 utilizes a preset defrost sequence to prevent ice build-up in exterior airways during extreme temperatures. This sequence is activated when the temperature drops to 23°F or lower. When this happens, the supply blower shuts down and the exhaust blower switches to high speed to maximize heat flow from the compressor. Once the defrost is complete, the system resumes its normal operation.
