Description

Swapping out an aging PTAC in a hotel or apartment building goes faster when the replacement fits the opening already in your wall. The Friedrich 12,000 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC w/ Electric Heat has the industry-standard 42-inch width, so you can install it without enlarging the cut-out. A single through-the-wall system handles electric heat as well as cooling and dehumidification.

Keeping guests comfortable is only half the job. The ZoneAire Select also checks itself with an internal diagnostic program that runs factory tests and alerts your maintenance team to component or operating problems. Its modular layout gives your technicians quick access to internal parts, and washable filters keep airborne particles away from internal components.

It uses a 6-20P plug, removes up to 2.56 pints of moisture per hour, and weighs 106 pounds.
  • 265V Model PZE12R3SC: This model provides up to 12,300 BTU of cooling at a 10.7 EER and removes up to 2.8 pints of moisture per hour, which helps in muggier rooms, while drawing 1,150 watts (5.92 amps) when cooling and 13.8 amps when heating. It uses a 7-20P plug and includes a programmable thermostat. At 94 pounds, it is the lighter model to lift into the wall sleeve.
