Purchase was a replacement for a failed earlier Friedrich Purchace While Sylvane performed flawlessly on delivering the unit, I can't say as much for Fredrich. First of all I was replacing a dual air conditioner / heat pump unit. Friedrich apparently does not make such units anymore, so I had to get one with resistance heat with the associated loss of efficiency. Second, the unit has an annoying squeal when the compressor is running, which I assume from the compressor. Had I not been replacing an existing through-the-wall unit I probably would have purchased a unit from another manufacturer, however this unit had the same case dimensions as the old unit so that the replacement was a simple slide out / slide in action.

This unit replaced a 16 year old thru the wall Friedrich A/C in our kitchen. We have an old colonial farmhouse where the hot water heat cannot keep up during a cold snap so we added heat to the new A/C unit. It is quiet, attractive, and provides the auxiliary boost of heat when needed. We were so happy to find a supplier and have a good experience with the purchase.

Relatively easy to install. Modern, sleek design. Blows out lots of cold air here in north Georgia. We've used the heat one night only and it seemed adequate. The only problem we encountered was configuring the wifi with the app. Take your time and follow the directions. Still, it took 3 attempts.
