Description

The Friedrich 7,000 BTU ZoneAire Select PTAC with Electric Heat reliably circulates 350 CFM of cooled or heated air in rooms up to 300 square feet. This easy-to-install and operate PTAC features a 12 EER, remote thermostat control compatibility, and ultra-quiet operation for dorm rooms, hotel rooms, or other multi-unit facilities.

  • LED Display: Easily view the set point or actual room temperature, mode, and fan speed with the digital control display.
  • Internal Diagnostic Program: This self-diagnosing program runs factory tests to reduce problems by alerting maintenance of component or operating problems.
  • Standard Sizing: This PTAC measures an industry-standard 42-inch width, making it simple to replace old PTACs and compatible with most standard Friedrich accessories.

Powerful and Efficient Heating

The 3.6 kW electric heater contains coils to provide more heated surface area to output quiet and powerful heat in minutes. 

  • Energy Management: Connect with an Exceptional Energy Management Thermostat to integrate the PTAC into a central control system that allows remote settings adjustment.
  • Thermostat Capable: Its pop-out wiring module makes connecting to a universal thermostat quick and easy.
  • Temperature Monitoring: This PTAC will test the room temperature every nine minutes and adjust the output to maintain the desired temperature.
  • Temperature Limiting: Set a high and low-temperature limit range to reduce energy usage.
  • Freeze Protection: The electric heater will automatically start when set to auto heating if an unoccupied room temperature reaches below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Friedrich PTAC Universal Heater Cord: To increase the power of the electric heater for colder environments, upgrade to a 5 kW electric heater with the Friedrich 5 kW Heater Cord.

Ultra-Quiet and Durable Design

Friedrich PTACs utilize superior materials and an ultra-efficient design to reduce sound levels and increase durability for all-season temperature control. 

  • Dual Motors: Features two permanently lubricated fan motors, one inside and one outside, so the indoor motor can run slower. This reduces sound levels without lowering performance.
  • Quick Start and Stop: The two permanently lubricated fans are delayed to prevent starting or stopping with the compressor, ensuring quiet operation.
  • High-Efficiency Rotary Compressor: This rotary compressor maximizes the durability and efficiency of the Friedrich 7,000 BTU PTAC as the heat is running.
  • Vibration Isolators: To ensure the quiet and smooth operation of the compressor, the rotary compressor is mounted with vibration isolators.
  • Even Air Distribution: The tangential blower wheel provides a wide airflow path, quietly and evenly distributing it throughout the room.
  • Durable Construction: The galvanized zinc-coated steel wall sleeve and steel base pan are powder-coated with a polyester finish for durability and sound reduction.
  • Corrosion Protection: The indoor and outdoor coils are coated in Diamonblue Advanced corrosion protection, and the outdoor coils are encased in aluminum endplates to withstand harsh outdoor environments.
