Was able to modify the install kit to work on a casement window. Cooling works very good and the unit is attractive enough. It isn't as quiet as I had hoped but isn't particularly load. I picked this because I've found Friedrich to be of better quality then cheaper units but we will see. Seems well made. In retrospect, I should have picked a unit that fully evaporates condensate. This unit only partially does and draining it is going to be somewhat difficult. There is no removeable bucket but a drain plug on the bottom of the unit. There is no nearby drain to connect to so it will involve some effort. Also, I'm a bit worried about it leaking onto the floor but that hasn't happened. It just seems like a potential accident because the plug doesn't seem particularly secure. It does not screw in, just pushes in.
