Description
Protect your health and your home from the side effects of dry air with the General Aire Model 3200 Bypass Evaporative Humidifier. Since cold air holds less moisture, it’s especially tricky in the winter months to maintain a comfortable humidity level while blasting the heat – installing a whole-house humidifier can ease that discomfort. As warm air from your furnace flows into the humidifier, it meets a water-soaked vapor pad that evaporates moisture into the air to deliver humidity throughout your home.
Note: This humidifier must be installed by a licensed contractor.
Manual or Automatic
The General Aire 3200 is available with two different operating controls:
- General Aire 3200M: The bypass humidifier includes an MHX3C wall- or duct-mount humidistat with manual controls to adjust the humidity range.
- General Aire 3200A: This GFX4 automatic digital humidistat controls the furnace blow motor and includes an easy-to-read LCD screen, an outdoor sensor, and accurate humidity readings. It can be installed directly on your wall or the duct, giving an extended humidity range from 10 to 75 percent.
Flexible Installation
Installation is easy and customizable with this General Aire bypass humidifier, and may be installed on either the return or supply plenum of a forced air handling system. The bypass panel is reversible, and can be mounted to the left or right. This flexibility is a great convenience, especially if you have a tight space on one side of your furnace; simply flip it around, and you’ll be humidifying your home in no time.
