Info & Guides

Description

The Honeywell HWM445B Easy-to-Care Filter-Free Warm Mist Humidifier uses no filter, to allow for long-lasting use without the costs of filter replacements.

The wide top fill tank makes refilling and cleaning the humidifier easy. The tank opens through a wide mouth, so you can pour straight in with a pitcher or lift it to the sink, and a water level indicator shows you how much is left before you commit to an overnight run.

Key Features and Benefits of the Honeywell HWM445B Easy-to-Care Filter-Free Warm Mist Humidifier

  • Programmable Humidistat: Choose from five humidity settings to adjust moisture output for the comfort level you want.
  • Fast Warm Mist: Visible steam starts in less than 1 minute, so you can address dry air discomfort quickly.
  • All-Day Runtime: A full tank runs up to 24 hours on the low setting, which covers a night of sleep and the following day.
  • Top-Fill Tank: The 1.5-gallon tank fills from above through a wide opening, keeping refills and cleaning a mess-free job.
  • Comfort Settings: Switch between two comfort settings to push more mist into a very dry room or ease off once the air feels right.
  • Filter-Free Operation: With no filter inside, you avoid seasonal filter replacement.
  • Essential Oil Cup: Add a few drops of essential oils to the built-in essential oil cup and customize the scent of your room.
  • Auto Shutoff: Automatic safety shutoff stops the humidifier when the tank runs dry, while the water level indicator helps you see when a refill is needed.

Sizing This Humidifier to the Room

Honeywell rates this humidifier for large and multi-room use, like a master bedroom, finished basement, open living or dining space rather than a small office. The footprint is 9.8 x 10 x 13.6 inches (L x W x H), so it sits on a nightstand or side table without crowding out a lamp. At 6.19 pounds when empty, it is easy to carry between floors to chase dry air from the bedroom at night and the living room by day. Keep the mist output lower behind a closed bedroom door and higher when the space opens into the rest of the house.

Sylvane's Expert Take

This humidifier suits your large bedroom or open living area when dry air is a concern. The 5-setting humidistat is the control to prioritize because it lets you choose your preferred moisture level. A standout detail is the reset light, which indicates your selected humidity level has been reached, while the water level indicator helps you judge when to refill. Use those indicators to manage the humidifier more confidently.
