Description

Laser particle counters are sophisticated monitors used for the quick and accurate measurement of airborne particle concentrations. Traditional units are extremely high-priced and are often used in hospitals, laboratories and clean room facilities – where clean air is critical. This innovative air quality monitor uses the same laser technology as the traditional units to give you the same accurate readings. However, this monitor has been redesigned to expressly meet the needs of home users – at an affordable price.

Particle Counts

As air is cycled through the unit, both small and large particles are counted and displayed. Small particles counted include: fine dust, bacteria, mold, smoke, and smog. Large particles include: coarse dust, pollens, larger bacteria, plant spores, pet dander and dust mite feces. Anyone with allergies or asthma can use this information to specifically monitor their trouble areas. Someone with an allergy to pollen, for example, will be especially interested in their air’s large particle count.

PC Interface Option

The PC Interface Option has all the features of the standard DC1100, but also allows you to capture the air quality data to a PC for graphing and analysis. A 9-pin serial cable (not included) links the DC1100 to your PC or laptop which then captures the data as it samples. To use this feature, you must connect a 9pin serial cable from the unit to a COM port on your PC. If your PC lacks any COM ports, you can purchase a COM Port to USB adapter to use with the cable.

NOTE - Any software that comes with the cable must be installed before using.

Portable and Versatile

The unit is small and lightweight, allowing you to easily test any area of your home. Take it anywhere you spend large portions of your day indoors. Use the information to take action to protect you and your family and give you peace of mind knowing that the air you breathe is safe and healthy.

    Great Product, Great company

This is a product that destroys the compition. It's specs are equal to meters costing thousands of dollars. I requested some more information from the company, and they responded quickly and provided the information. We will be using many particle counters in our air quality monitoring stations.

    great product for the money

We use the DC1100 for monitoring clean room construction activities. It is a great product, excellent value and has an impressive curb appeal for customers when ordered with the laptop/pc monitoring option. The biggest problem I have is when displayed on computer screen it has a real life picture of the device which definitely takes away from the professional appearance it would otherwise have.

    air review

Fantastic. Can't beleive the difference in air quality readings of meter with and without air cleaner. Really shows visually the results of great air quality. Great value for the money spent. Thanks.

    DC1100 Performs Well

I've been using the unit for about two months now to monitor air particle quality around my home and for several neighbors as well. The unit performs very well, although it can read high when too close to a light source. I've found the unit very useful in field-testing various air purifier systems. The DC1100 reports accurately even when the unit sits right at the exhaust for the purifier. As a result I have purchased a new filtering system for my home that the DC1100 confirms dramatically reduces air particle counts. For fun, throw a bag of popcorn into the microwave and watch the particle counts shoot through the roof.

who knew all this stuff was in the air?

oh wowww! i KNEW that this old trailer i live in had some air quality problems, but not to the extent that this meter shows! all you have to do is plug it in and it does the work. its easy to understand and accurate and im SO glad that i purchased it. now i have another valid excuse to break my rental agreement with how bad the air quality is in here!
