This replaces a practically identical Kenmore unit that lasted 15 years. This one has the muscle to handle our 90+ temperatures in a second story room that faces south. It's obvious the older, less ""muscular"" unit, couldn't do the job any longer. One strange thing...the ""frame"" that fits around the unit does not, in fact, fit very well at all. Fortunately, that has no effect on the great job this unit is doing.
