Loud cycling and glowing display lights make it hard to sleep in a bedroom cooled by a window AC. The Frigidaire 10,000 U Shaped Gallery Window Air Conditioner w/Wifi deals with both. Its inverter adjusts output to hold your set temperature, and the display dims itself after a few moments of inactivity, so the room stays dark at night.

You can run it from your phone as easily as from the electronic front panel. In the free Frigidaire App you can switch it on or off, change the temperature, change cooling modes, and build custom schedules. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant handle voice commands for power and temperature, and the included remote control still works when your internet is down.

Key Features and Benefits of the Frigidaire 10,000 U Shaped Gallery Window Air Conditioner w/Wifi

  • Medium Room Coverage: With 10,000 BTU of cooling capacity and up to 250 CFM of airflow, it keeps rooms up to 450 square feet comfortable.
  • Low Running Costs: A CEER of 15 and Energy Star certification keep the estimated operating cost to about $52 per year, so long summer runs stay affordable.
  • Measured Noise Levels: It runs as quietly as 41 dB and peaks at 53 dB, and Sleep Mode makes it even quieter so your nights are less disturbed.
  • Smart Voice Control: Wi-Fi connectivity works with the Frigidaire App and with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can adjust cooling from the couch or across town.
  • Operating Range: Uses R-32 refrigerant and is rated for ambient temperatures from 60 to 90 degrees F, which covers the conditions it is built to handle.
  • Eco Mode: Eco Mode switches the air conditioner off and on at intervals, holding your set temperature while you save energy.
  • Auto-Swing Louver: The auto-swing louver works with 3 fan speeds to sweep air back and forth, so cool air reaches your entire room.
  • Programmable Timer: You can set the timer in half-hour steps, so the room is already cool when you walk in the door.
  • Washable Filter: The washable air filter captures dust and particles, and a Check Filter indicator tells you when it needs cleaning to keep cooling efficient.
  • Auto-Restart Memory: After a power failure, Auto-Restart brings back your saved settings once power returns, so you don't have to reprogram anything.
  • Dehumidifier Mode: Dehumidifier Mode pulls moisture from the air when humidity peaks, and Fan-Only Mode moves air around without running the compressor.

Will the Gallery Fit Your Window?

Measure your window before you order. The saddle design fits windows from 23.5 to 36 inches wide with at least 13.75 inches of open height, and an installation kit is included. The air conditioner measures 22.75 x 19.25 x 13.5-Inches (L x W x H) and weighs 85 pounds, so plan on a second person to help lift it into place.

The 5.5-foot power cord ends in a standard 5-15P plug for a 110 to 120-volt outlet, so you need an outlet close to the window. It draws up to 10 amps and 890 watts and is rated for a 115V-15A circuit. Keeping other heavy appliances off that circuit helps you avoid tripped breakers. It also carries CSA certification.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're cooling a bedroom of up to 450 square feet and a noisy AC keeps you awake, this Gallery model belongs on your shortlist. Its 41 dB operating noise is the number that matters most at night. At 85 pounds, it is best installed with a second person. The inverter efficiency and app scheduling are the features to focus on, and together they make this an easy air conditioner to sleep beside.
