I've had this fan for three weeks. Because I currently use it in an apartment, I might have been satisfied with a non-heavy duty model. But the price premium was reasonable enough for long-term use; and I knew the steel frame and handle would be advantages for an appliance that might get moved often from one room to another. I'm very satisfied with its air-moving capabilities. On the slowest setting, it's quiet enough to not disturb sleep. The second setting is great for general cooling. I've only used the fastest speed to quickly circulate air in a stuffy room but most often revert back to the second afterwards. I can't say too much about durability yet but it looks well-built and the overall design gives me the sense that it'll be a reliable fan for years to come. If you're willing to spend a bit more for something that's better than a consumer grade model (and looks good as well), I'd recommend it for sure.
