  • Cool Mode: This AC unit doesn’t falter on hot days; it provides cold air quickly using the cool function.

  • Dry Mode: Don’t be overwhelmed by high humidity — the dry mode can remove up to 1.7 pints of moisture per hour.

  • Fan-Only Mode: This mode brings fresh air during moderate spring and fall days. Select your preferred fan speed and circulate air throughout your space.

  • Auto Mode: Simply set the programmable thermostat (62 to 88 degrees F) and allow the unit to moderate the operating mode and fan speed to maintain it.

Supplemental Heat

You can select the Whirlpool through-the-wall unit that includes 10,600 BTUs of supplemental heat (WHAT122-HAW). This model provides focused heat on frigid days or warmth on cool days when you don’t want to use your home’s furnace. 

Energy-Saving Functions

In addition to drawing only 5.4 amps of power for cooling, the Whirlpool 12,000 BTU TTW air conditioner features two additional operating modes that help conserve energy and save you money.

  • ECO Mode: Using this mode enables your AC unit to moderate the compressor's operation while continuing to circulate cooled air throughout the room.

  • Sleep Mode: Temperatures naturally drop at night, and in this mode, the unit gradually adjusts the temperature and fan speed. This maintains your comfort while saving energy.

  • Programmable Timer: Set the 24-hour timer to automatically turn your AC on and off according to your schedule. This is especially useful if you’re away from home during the day.

Universal Wall Sleeve

The Whirlpool WHAT221-2BW thru-wall air conditioner is compatible with a universal wall sleeve (not included) 24.5 to 27 inches wide. This versatile unit consists of a wall trim kit and a rear grille to finish off the outside. This wall sleeve is compatible, should you need to purchase one.
