Description
The Whirlpool 12,000 BTU Through-the-Wall Air Conditioners have four basic operating modes plus optional supplemental heat. They also have energy-saving functions and features, making them a solid choice for permanent installation in spaces up to 550 square feet.
- Cool: Using a 115-volt, 3-prong plug, this AC provides 12,000 BTUs of cooling power to combat the high heat of summer.
- Dry: When the humidity makes days unbearable, use this mode to remove up to 1.6 pints of moisture per hour.
- Fan-Only: On moderate days in the spring and fall, you can bring in the fresh air and circulate it throughout your space.
- Auto: When in this mode, the unit automatically selects the operating mode and sets the fan speed according to the room temperature.
- ECO: Save money and energy by selecting this mode, which runs the compressor intermittently while using the fan to continue circulating cooled air.
- Sleep: This mode allows you to save energy while you sleep by gradually adjusting the temperature and fan speed.
Uses Universal Wall Sleeve
The Whirlpool Thru-wall units include a wall trim kit for a finished look inside and a rear grille to complete the outside. A wall sleeve is not included.
Additional Features
- Programmable Thermostat: Set your desired temperature from 62 to 86 degrees F.
- Programmable Timer: Use the 24-hour timer to program your AC to turn on or off according to your schedule. This is another energy-saving feature of these TTW ACs.
- Remote Control: Full-function remote allows you to make adjustments right from the comfort of your couch.
- Electronic Controls: Touch controls are simple to use for setting the temperature, selecting the operating mode, and adjusting the fan speed as needed.
- Auto Restart: In case of a power failure, these Whirlpool air conditioners save your settings and automatically restart when power is restored.
- Airflow Control: Two sets of louvers provide 8-way directional control for airflow that can be distributed evenly throughout the space or focused in a single direction.
- Quick Access Air Filter: This air filter captures large particles for cleaner indoor air and is easy to access from the front of the unit when it needs cleaning. An indicator light on the control panel will alert you.
