The AprilAire E130 Series dehumidifiers combine everything you need from a whole-house dehumidifier: powerful moisture removal, American-made reliability, and versatile setup options. Homes will enjoy fresh, dry air in a compact package that can be ducted or used as a standalone dehumidifier in a crawl space or basement.
Versatile Installation Options
The E130 series dehumidifiers are available for use in any environment. They can be ducted or used as standalone units.
- E130 Plug-in Dehumidifier: Standard 130-pint HVAC dehumidifier with an 8-foot power cord for plug installation.
- E130C with Casters: The 130-pint model includes casters for more portable and standalone installations. An 8-foot power cord is included for plug installation.
- E130H Hardwired Dehumidifier: Need to hardwire your dehumidifier? The E130H is designed to be hardwired for long-term use.
The AprilAire E series 130-pint dehumidifiers are compact enough to fit anywhere. Each unit stands at 19.5 x 18.5 x 30 inches.
Wi-Fi Enabled Version
You can choose the AprilAire model E130W for a dehumidifier with Wi-Fi-enabled digital controls and a color graphic display. The Wi-Fi controls give you access to easy setup, pairing, controls, and maintenance reminders through the AprilAire Healthy Aire App. Integration with the Healthy Aire App also gives you access to alerts, error diagnosis, and updates.
More Capacity, Lower Operating Cost
An upgrade to the popular AprilAire 1870 series, these dehumidifiers remove more moisture with less energy usage. The greater performance means healthier air for homeowners. Its Energy Factor at AHAM is 2.35 L/kWh, earning it the Energy Star Most Efficient 2024 recognition.
This recognition is for the dehumidifiers with the latest technological innovations and most efficient designs.
Ducting Options
Common installation locations include an equipment room or closet, basements, or attics. Hanging installation is also possible. Two 10-inch duct collars are included for ducting air return and supply, and the supply duct can be installed in one of two locations on the unit for more flexibility in your space.
Additional Features
- On-Board Humidity Control: Use the buttons to adjust the setting from 40 to 80 percent. Typically, customers set it to 55 percent when first installing it and adjust it based on how they feel.
- Automatic Sensing: Your dehumidifier will automatically sense the air and compare it to your humidity setting, then adjust its operation as needed.
- Air Filter: Remove dust and other impurities before air travels through the dehumidifier and back into your space.
- Auto Defrost Control: In cool conditions, an automatic defroster turns off the compressor and runs the blower until the coils are defrosted to protect the unit from damage.
- Adjustable Outlet Options: The duct collar is adjustable for top or side discharge applications.
- Drain Hose Included: Easily drain water to another location with the included 10-foot drain hose and easy attachment.
Optional Features
- Optional External Controls: Looking for simple wall controls? If your unit is installed in a hard-to-reach location, consider adding the Model 76, 8620, and 8910 wall controllers.
- Optional Ventilation: Ventilation is an optional, durable installation. If set up, this dehumidifier will ventilate for a certain amount of time per hour. The damper brings in air from outside to distribute fresh air. Adjust how often ventilation occurs on the control panel.
Note: The AprilAire E130 dehumidifiers replace the popular E1870 series models. AprilAire strongly suggests professional installation for this model.

I live just off the Gulf of America, and the humidity is almost always nearing 100%. This unit was oversized for the square footage and is doing a fine job. Indoor humidity is down to around 50-60% i just saw a $200 lower price for this unit shortly after I bought it, unfortunately.

Purchased a 1770a 10 years ago and this unit performed great. For replacement, the E130 purchased at this time so far as performed as great as the previous unit. Drain system for the E130 is a major improvement and the E130 is also much quieter versus the 1770a previous purchase. Only problem I had with installation was locating the control pcb for auxilary pump connection. Did not see any information in installation manual or internet information. Very pleased with unit at this time. Warranty register was very easy to complete. The E130 unit does have a larger foot print vs the 1770a. Thank you

Worked fine for a year then on off switch and wire burnt up. This has a parts only warranty and it's up to you to try and find someone to repair it.
