Designed for large areas up to 1600 square feet, this residential swamp cooler uses the natural evaporation process to cool your home, lowering temperatures by as much as 15 - 20 degrees. It comes with an installation kit which includes a convertible grille so it can be installed in horizontal or vertical windows.
While refrigerant air conditioners use toxic chemicals to initiate the cooling process, evaporative coolers use only natural resources of water and air. Performing best in dry climates, the RN50W cooler eliminates hot air and releases fresh, cool air throughout your space using only a fourth of the electrical energy required to operate a central AC unit.

Evaporative Cooling Method
AIRCARE evaporative coolers use a similar method to the natural cooling effect that occurs when you step out of a swimming pool on a hot day. As water evaporates, you feel cool and refreshed. In a similar way, the powerful blower draws in 4,700 cubic feet of hot, dry air onto two water-saturated pads constructed of Aspen tree fibers. As evaporation occurs, the temperature is instantly reduced up to 15 - 20 degrees and cool air is released back into your space creating a consistent breeze.
Instead of re-circulating, the same stale air like traditional AC's, the RN50W air cooler disperses fresh air throughout your space every two to four minutes, while the moist pads act as air filters for dust, pollen, smoke, and odors, providing nonstop relief to allergy sufferers.

When installing I discovered that the top two screws that hold the front grille in place were missing. What else is wrong... I guess we shall see.. This shows me that there was no pride in workmanship and that nobody is checking these before they go out the door.
