The versatile AprilAire E070 is a portable dehumidifier that can be ducted for moisture control in crawl spaces and basements or used as a standalone unit. Lightweight and compact, it offers made-in-America quality and simple controls. You can select it as a Wi-Fi-enabled model (E070W), which adds Wi-Fi compatibility with a new onboard controller and color display.

- Large Capacity and Powerful Moisture Removal: This powerhouse dehumidifier removes up to 70 pints of moisture daily at AHAM (80 degrees F, 60 percent relative humidity). It also offers an airflow of 200 cubic feet per minute to quickly move air through the unit and distribute fresh air to your space.
- American-Made Quality: This dehumidifier offers quality American-made parts for long-term use and is backed by a 5-year replacement warranty.
Optional Wi-Fi Enabled Model
By choosing the optional model E070W, you get an upgraded AprilAire dehumidifier model with Wi-Fi-enabled technology that makes setup, pairing, and monitoring possible and easy using AprilAire's Healthy Air App.
AprilAire Model E070W includes a Wi-Fi-enabled digital controller with an onboard color display, which can be used to set and change the dehumidifier's settings. The device can be paired through AprilAire's Healthy Air App, which gives alerts and updates on the dehumidifier's status.
Compact Enough for Any Location
Standing at just 12.5 x 12.5 x 25 inches, it can be used as a standalone unit or ducted to tight crawl spaces or basements. Its compact design allows it to fit in attics and other confined areas, while its leveling feet help keep it sturdy.
Ducting Options
Adding 5 to 10 feet of insulated ductwork to the dehumidifier's inlet and outlet will ensure dehumidified air is circulated throughout the crawl space and reduce noise. Point the inlet and outlet ducts in opposite directions to minimize the recirculation of dehumidified air.
Note: This dehumidifier is designed for crawl space and standalone applications only. Do not duct it to an HVAC system.
Additional Features
- On-Board Humidity Control: Use the buttons to adjust the setting from 40 to 80 percent. Typically, customers set it to 55 percent during installation and then adjust it up or down based on how it feels.
- Automatic Sensing: Your dehumidifier will automatically sense the air and compare it to your humidity setting, then adjust its operation as needed.
- Air Filter: Remove dust and other impurities before air travels through the dehumidifier and back into your space.
- Auto Defrost Control: In cold conditions, an automatic defroster turns off the compressor and runs the blower until the coils are defrosted to protect the unit from damage.
- Adjustable Outlet Options: The duct collar is adjustable for top or side discharge applications.
- Leveling Feet: Four stabilizing rubber feet are included to ensure proper dehumidifier drainage.
- Drain Hose Included: Easily drain water to another location with the included 10-foot drain hose and easy attachment.

Bought this unit for a crawl space after the original dehumidifier quit working after 6 years. I like this unit better, I especially like the digital controls, you don't have to get to the right humidity level by trial and error - just put in the level you want to maintain. I do wish I would have bought the hanging kit, it would have made the install much faster and easier.

Made a big difference in the humidity and air quality in our crawl space. Also very quiet. We did use about 6' of insulated ducting as recommended. Hopefully it will last a long time. 5 year warranty is piece of mind as well.

This unit is being used to control humidity in the basement. It replaced a Honeywell DR65, which had 3 warranty replacements, 2 for the Freon leaking out and 1 for a bad humidity control. This unit is very loud by comparison, around 87 decibels. Because it is in the basement, it doesn't bother anyone, but I wonder if the sound will have any effect on longevity. As far as humidity control, this unit is excellent. Set it for 48%, and the whole basement is 48% within a few hours and stays that way. No issues at all. It has plastic rings to connect to ducts, but we are using it free standing in a semi finished basement. I have a similar unit ducted to my lake house, model 1830, and it has the same control and works perfectly. It has been running flawlessly since 2019. That is mostly why I chose this smaller unit for the basement at home, the track record is great.
