Prioritize Your Comfort

This Friedrich air conditioner focuses on your perfect room environment with a number of technological features, including:

  • Precision Inverter® Compressor: Engineered to run with maximum precision for up to 35% more efficient operation than more traditional window air conditioners.
  • Soft-Start™ Technology: With this feature, the compressor runs at lower levels so loud hard stop-and-starts won’t happen.
  • QuietMaster™ Technology: Layering heavy-duty insulation, stiffened sheet metal, optimized air flow, and counterweights help dampen the vibration from the unit.

Energy Star Certified

This Friedrich 8,000 BTU Chill Inverter Window Air Conditioner is an energy-efficient cooling solution, verified with an Energy Star rating and featuring a 15.1 Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER).

Additional Features

  • SimpleSill™ Technology: After installing the unit with the included one-piece frame, the design allows the window to open and close, unlike other models.
  • Wi-Fi Control: Change the settings at any time after downloading the app.
  • Sleep Mode: With an auto adjustment feature, the temperature is changed quickly and effectively.
  • Quiet Mode: An ultra-low fan speed offers the quietest cooling available.
  • Fan-Only Mode: Turning on the Money Saver® Mode will have the fan running only when cooling to help save on your monthly bill.
  • Antimicrobial Filter: This built-in filter helps clean the air as it’s pushed out into the room. It is washable and there are automatic clean-filter reminders.
  • Auto Air Sweep: This feature moves the louvers up and down, which extends the air flow area to maximize cooling and circulation.

Summary

The precision-based efficiency features and Energy Star rating make this Friedrich 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner a great choice for smaller spaces.

    Fantastic quality window A/C unit!!!

I have a 15,000 BTU Friedrich chill 120 volt unit for my kitchen, dining room and living room. I wanted a small unit for the "back" bedroom. Nearly silent (the fan on my CPAP makes FAR more noise!), used about $30 of electricity this super-hot and humid June (less than half of the juice the front bedroom Fedder's 8K BTU uses). I'm sad to see this "line" discontinued, as for less than 1/8th the price and 1/5th the electric, it does better than the Toshiba "mini-split" I tried. My 102 year-old frame house doesn't do "central" for an affordable cost, and mini-splits are very expensive to buy, operate and install. With 15.0 SEER, both units use about $70-75 monthly. The mini-split used more than double that for 6300 BTU cooling. I have a 40 year-old Friedrich 16.3 K BTU 120 volt unit that needs about 3 ounces of R-22 refrigerant ( new oil and "drop-in" coolant) nobody will repair.
