This AC unit is used to cool (and, when the season arrives, heat) an finished attic room. This replaced a well-tired 40 year old AC unit. The difference, as expected, is night-and day. The room is cool even in 80+ degree days, and the unit doesn't struggle at all to keep the room cool. Of course, when purchasing an AC unit use a calculator to pick a unit with the right cooling capacity (based on square footage, number of people in room, direct sun, etc). This is one of the best purchases I've made this year. The Wi-Fi ability of the AC gives me peace of mind control over the unit from anywhere. I would have preferred Apple HomeKit capability for good integration and automation, but what Friedrich provides is adequate.
