Description
The Whirlpool 10,000 BTU Inverter Window Air Conditioner includes inverter technology for higher operating efficiency, and has been awarded the Energy Star rating. It features three operating modes to provide cooling and dehumidification for rooms up to 450 square feet. Additional energy-saving features include:
- 24-Hour Timer: You can program the timer to either shut the AC unit on or off so that it won’t run when it isn’t needed.
- Eco Mode: In this mode, the compressor operates intermittently as needed to maintain the set temperature.
- Sleep Mode: In sleep mode, the air conditioner reduces the fan speed and gradually increases the set point to adjust for lower nighttime temperatures.
Operating Modes for Comfort
The three included operating modes and fan speeds allow users to set this energy-efficient window air conditioner to a preferred temperature and airflow levels. Pressing the swing button will activate the automatic swing function of the interior louvers to better distribute airflow throughout the space.
- Cool Mode: Used most often, this mode cools the room and alleviates some humidity in your space.
- Dry Mode: This function helps to reduce the moisture in the air on high-humidity days.
- Fan Only Mode: Use this mode, along with fan speed adjustment, to circulate air through the room on days when cooling isn’t needed.

- Auto Restart: In case of a power outage, the Whirlpool window air conditioner will restart automatically when power is restored, saving the settings.
- On-Board Thermostat: Set the desired temperature between 61 degrees and 88 degrees F.
- Remote Control: This Whirlpool inverter window air conditioner includes a handy full-function remote control.
- Eco-Friendly Refrigerant: This window AC unit uses environmentally friendly R-32 refrigerant.
- Air Filter: Conveniently located behind the front intake grille of the unit, this captures particles for cleaner air. A Clean Filter reminder will light on the control plan, and it can be cleaned by vacuuming or washing in mild dish soap and warm water.
- Auto Fan: This function automatically adjusts the fan speed to correspond to the cooling and airflow requirements based on the setting.
- Mute: Pressing this button will change the fan speed to mute speed, lowering the sound level to 42 dB.
