Water damage restoration blower fans feature rugged construction and unique attributes that make them ideal for remediation professionals and DIYers alike. Their powerful, directed airflow effectively removes moisture, ensuring a safe, healthy environment. Discover the types and uses of various restoration air movers below.

Axial Air Movers

  • Type: Also known as blower fans, they generate high cubic feet per minute airflow and have an adjustable fan head positioning on a 360-pivot. They can be daisy-chained together for drying very large spaces.
  • Usage: Effective for flood damage remediation projects, they are ideal for walls, floors, and ceilings.

Centrifugal Air Movers

  • Type: Sometimes known as "snail" air blowers or turbo fans, they are available in a variety of sizes to fit the job. They provide a wide, horizontal path of airflow from 370 CFM to over 3,500 CFM and can be set in 3 or 4 positions to direct it where it is needed.
  • Usage: Effective for quickly drying out hardwood floors, baseboards, walls, carpets, and rugs. Also useful for directing the airflow into small spaces.

Downdraft Blower Fans

  • Type: Also known as 360-degree fans, they direct very powerful airflow down towards the floor. They are compact and stackable—easy to transport to job sites.
  • Usage: Perfect for drying saturated carpets and flooring, as well as inside cabinets, closets, and other hard-to-reach spaces.

Low-Profile Air Movers

  • Type: These thrust fan blowers deliver airflow in either a vertical or horizontal path. They include a kickstand that allows them to be placed in multiple drying positions and are stackable.
  • Usage: Used to direct airflow underneath cabinets, toward baseboards, and under carpets and large area rugs, they are a great option for quick drying and flood repair.

Floor and Cavity Dryers

  • Type: These differ from other restoration air movers in that they have a heater that produces warm air for drying.
  • Usage: They use floor panels and tubing to direct heated airflow behind drywall and baseboards, as well as beneath flooring to reach sub-floors for thorough water removal.

All of these water restoration blower fans and air movers ensure a moisture-free environment and play an important part in restoring buildings for safe habitation.
