Customizable Installation to Fit Your Home's Needs
This dehumidifier can be used as a freestanding dehumidifier or ducted into your home's existing ductwork and HVAC system:
- Ducting the unit to HVAC systems is the most common installation option and allows for the most effective humidity control and improved air quality throughout your home. This connects to 8-inch ductwork.
- Other popular installation options include installing the unit in basements, crawl spaces, attics, closets, or mechanical rooms. Various ducting and usage accessories are available to customize a configuration for your home's needs.
Upgraded 6-Year Warranty
Manufacturers have announced that Santa Fe dehumidifiers now have an upgraded warranty that guarantees performance and customer satisfaction for up to six years.
This industry-leading “Peace of Mind” warranty covers all Santa Fe dehumidifiers manufactured after January 1, 2024, with a 5-year warranty against operational failures and a 6-year warranty for faulty components.
In the unlikely event of a unit breakdown, Santa Fe will replace or repair the affected unit. However, customers should consult their Owner’s Manual for detailed information about their warranty’s terms and conditions.
Options for Setting Your Desired Humidity Level
Built-In Dehumidistat
This unit features a built-in dehumidistat that controls your desired humidity. Use this built-in control if you place the unit in the area you're treating.
Optional Remote Dehumidistat
An optional remote dehumidistat—the Ultra-Aire DEH 3000 Digital Controller—is also available. This controller allows you to set your desired humidity, manage fresh air ventilation, and activate air filtration, all from the convenience of your living space. Use this controller if you plan to place the unit in an area outside the treatment area and/or plan to set up fresh air ventilation. This control allows you to run the fan continuously instead of only when the unit is in dehumidifying mode.
Additional Features
- Condensate Pump Available: Attach an external condensate pump to drain condensate upward or across longer distances to a nearby drain.
- MERV 13 Air Filtration: Captures harmful allergens and particles and keeps the unit running at peak efficiency. This filter needs to be replaced every 3 months. You can find MERV 13 replacement filters here or choose the less restrictive Santa Fe MERV 11 filter.
- Optional MERV 14 Filter Available: You can add a MERV 14 filter to improve air filtration. The MERV 14 filter is 90 to 95 percent efficient in removing particles between 0.3 and 1 micron.
- Low-Temperature Operation: Operates in temperatures as low as 49 degrees F and includes an auto defrost function to automatically melt frost build-up in chilly conditions.

I measured the capacity of the unit. It produced at a rate of 60 pints per day with room air entering the unit. Rated at 70 pints per day. It is quite and works fine. I connected it to the supply duct, in that configuration it produced condensate at a rate of 72 pints per day.

Just received and set up in the crawl space for now. Seems to work well, though the fan noise is a little louder than expected. When I install it into my ductwork, I'll use some duct silencers to reduce noise. It's nice and compact and seems well built. Can't comment on reliability yet. #sweepstakes encouraged me to post a review, but I paid full retail price and am not receiving compensation.

I'm using the 70H in a mid-size basement. I just use the built-in humidistat control and it does a good job. After six months of constant use the machine is working well in a basement that would be too humid without it. I have the satisfaction of knowing this is a quality product from a respected U.S. manufacturer. Should it ever fail, the process to repair or replace will be rather simple. As most people know, low-cost imported dehumidifiers often have reliability problems after three years and are not worth repairing. I expect the Ultra-Aire 70H to go on working for many, many years. This well-built machine is a solid performer.
